David Eddings
David
Eddings published his first novel, High Hunt, in 1973, before turning
to the field of fantasy and The Belgariad, soon followed by The
Malloreon. Born in Spokane, Washington, in 1931, and raised in the
Puget Sound area north of Seattle, he received his bachelor of arts
degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, in 1954, and a master of
arts degree from the University of Washington in 1961. He has served in
the United States Army, has worked as a buyer for the Boeing Company,
and has also been a grocery clerk and a college English teacher.
Pawn of Prophecy
Long
ago the evil God Torak sought dominion and drove men and Gods to war.
But Belgarath the Sorcerer led men to reclaim the Orb that protected
men of the West. So long as it lay at Riva, the prophecy went, the men
would be safe.
Queen of Sorcery
Legends told
of how the evil God Torak had coveted the power of the Orb of Aldur,
until defeated in a final battle. But the prophecy spoke of a time when
he would awake and again seek dominance over the world. Now the Orb has
been stolen by a priest of Torak, and that time is at hand.
Magician's Gambit
Ce'Nedra,
Imperial Princess of Tolnedra, was confused. Everyone knew that the
tales of the Orb that protected the West from the evil God Torak were
just silly legends. But here she was, forced to join a serious and
dangerous quest to recover that stolen Orb.
Castle of Wizardry
Now, at last, the Orb was regained and the
quest was nearing its end. Of course, the questors still had to escape
from this crumbling enemy fortress and flee across a desert filled with
Murgo soldiers searching for them, while Grolim Hierarchs strove to
destroy them with dark magic.
Enchanters' End Game
The final part of a saga set against a
history of 7000 years of struggles of gods and kings and men. The Orb
of Aldur was restored - but the Prophecy was unfulfilled. It drove
Garion on, but it gave no answer to the question that haunted him: how
does a man kill an immortal god?
Guardians of the West
Three
years have passed since Garion's killing of the evil God Torak and his
marriage to Ce'Nedra. He is now Overlord of the West, slowly learning
how to cope with the duties of a king. When the Orb warns him to beware
Zandramas the Voice of Prophecy reveals that the Dark Prophecy still
exists
King of the Murgos
Garion
knows that it is the mysterious figure Zandramas who is responsible for
the abduction of his infant son, and he and his companions journey many
miles and encounter mant strange beings in their search for him.
Demon
Lord of Karanda
The
company now knows that Garion's baby son has been kidnapped by
Zandramas and is to be used in a ritual which will make the Dark
Destiny supreme. The group, however, has been detained by Zakath,
Emperor of Mallorea, and taken to Mal Zeth.
Sorceress
of Darshiva
Garion
and his companions continue their desperate search for Zandramas, the
Child of Dark and abductor of Garion's baby son, Geran. Led by the orb
from Mallorea to the island of Melcena, they discover the place the
sardion once rested and also find Senji, a wizard.
The
Seeress of Kell
Now in the final stages of their quest for
his son,
Garion and his companions travel to Kell to consult the only undamaged
copy of the Malloreon Gospels. For centuries the Seers have guarded
this book from the Grolims and even had their wizards put a curse on
those who tried to enter Kell.

Belgrath
the Sorcerer w/Leigh Eddings
The story of Belgarath, the great sorcerer
learned in
the Will and the Word, on whom the fate of the world depends. This is
his own account of the struggle that went before "The Belgariad" and
"The Malloreon". Only one man could tell of those near-forgotten times.
That man is known as the Old Wolf.
Polgara
the Sorceress w/Leigh Eddings
The
story of the queen of truth, love, rage and destiny, Polgara the
Sorceress. In the story of Polgara, whose constancy and inner power
have been the foundation of all that has saved the world, the full
truth of "The Belgariad" is revealed.
The
Diamond Throne
Sparhawk,
Pandion Knight and Queen's Champion returns from a long spell of exile
to find his native land overrun with evil, intrigue and his young queen
grievously ill. Ehlana lies magically entombed within a block of
crystal, doomed to die unless a cure can be found within the year
The Ruby Night
Ehlana, queen of
Elenia, clings to life by a thread, preserved within a diamond-like
block of crystal conjured by a sorceress with the aid of a dozen
Pandion knights. For a year, their lives will save hers. However there
is a lost jewel which will save her life, if it can be found.
The Saphire Rose
Aided by the
goddess Aphrael, the Pandion Knight Sparhawk and his band of companions
have recovered the magical jewel Bhelliom - the sapphire rose - from
the cave of Ghwerig. Now they have the power to cure Ehlana, the young
queen of Elenia.
Domes of Fire
Having
freed Queen Ehlana from the spell which threatened her life, Sparhawk
returns to Elenia. However, Ehlana and Sparhawk's peaceful reign is
destined not to last because unrest is brewing in the Tamul Empire.
The Shinning Ones
The beleaguered Tamul Emperor Sarabian
needs his Elenian neighbours Sparhawk and Queen Ehlana if he is to
defeat the vast conspiracy ranged against his ancient power. Most
disturbing of all among his enemies are the Shining Ones, luminous
beings that kill with a touch.
The Hidden City
The
ultimate battle between Blue Rose and Klael must be fought - though
Ehlana is held prisoner by the enemy in the Hidden City, defended by
Klael. The time for strategy and hope is past.

The Elder Gods
Somewhere
beyond the farthest pole of the world, the Land of Dhrall lies anchored
by the will of four powerful yet eccentric Gods. From controlling the
weather to influencing the course of mortal men, these deities can bend
reality to their whims. Yet bound by the laws of nature, they cannot
take lives.
The
Gods are not the only power. For in the center of Dhrall is the
Wasteland, the domain of a mysterious, voracious horror known as
That-Called-The-Vlagh. A nightmare made flesh, the Vlagh has created a
massive army of hideous monsters in a plan to conquer Dhrall and
overrun the world. And now, at the end of a cycle of Time,
That-Called-The-Vlagh may succeed.
In
the coming battles the people of Dhrall will be aided by a ragtag force
of pirates and mercenary soldiers. But the true warriors against the
Vlagh will turn out to be four enigmatic children known as the
Dreamers. Raised by the Gods themselves, these children have the
ability to summon dreams that can alter the fabric of reality. And
unlike the Elder Gods, the Dreamers do not hesitate to use their powers
to kill….
The Treasured
Ones
They
are called the Dreamers. They look like sleeping children. They are, in
fact, Gods. Despite the literally earth-shattering climax of The Elder
Gods, Dahlaine still does not regret having brought the Dreamers into
the world of the Elder Gods. He only wishes he'd thought harder about
the consequences. His sister Aracia fears the whole world will collapse
in on itself if the Dreamers should all wake up and realize where they
are. It's bad enough with them dreaming the future, but at least it's a
future. Dahlain is pretty sure he's safe from an 'I-told-you-so' from
Aracia. The Dreamers give the Elder Gods a chance in the battle against
the vicious Ruler of the Wasteland. Then spies of very short stature
start cropping up in Veltan's bucolic and peaceful domain. They look
like people, or maybe they all look like the same person, but they are
more sinister than that. Fortunately, Dahlaine is soon on the scene
riding his thunderbolt
Crystal Gorge
The
Dreamers. Aracia, sister of the goddess Zelana (The Elder Gods),
and Veltan (The Treasured One) have ignored the prophecy of The
Dreamers. Now, their ignorance may bring about the destruction of
Dhrall.
The Younger Gods
The
Dreamers are children teetering on the brink of divinity. They have
the power to change the world with their dreams. But they only look
like children. They are, actually, sleeping gods. They're an apparition
designed to fool the Lord of the Wasteland, a gender unspecific enemy
that plans to use the moment of the divinities' waking to get rid of
them and the other divinities that are already awake. There are eight
divinities altogether, and four of them are awake while the other four
sleep for alternating periods of 25,000 years. The time for a
switchover is approaching fast. There will be battle. There will be
trickery and deception. Tribes of humans, the sea and the earth, the
weather and creatures of the deep will all play their part in the epic
struggle against the hive mentality of the Lord of the Wasteland. But
the world is out of kilter, it is being dreamed, and the awakening of
gods is no simple transition.

High
Hunt
When
his brother's gang of drinkers and wife-stealers begins a hunting
expedition, old jealousies quickly become out of control and turn the
men against each other, and Dan Alders must help them all to survive.
The Losers
(contemporary)
Raphael Taylor was a
golden boy--blond, handsome, charming, a gifted athlete and a serious
student, an angel in every way. Damon Flood was a scoundrel--a smooth,
smilling, cynical devil, as devious and corrupt as Raphael was open and
innocent. The day Raphael met Damon was the day he began his mysterious
fall from grace. And the golden boy fell very fast and very far....
The
Redemption of Athalus w/ Leigh Eddings
On
his way to steal The Book from the House at the End of the World,
Althalus collides with Dweia, a seductive goddess in the form of a cat
who can manipulate time. Unfortunately, her evil brother shares her
talent, and has been using his own dark magic to rewrite history. The
only people who can stop him are Althalus and a ragtag group of men,
women, and children. But they have no reason to trust Althalus--or each
other.
Regina's
Song w/ Leigh Eddings (contemptorary)
Eerily
attuned to one another, twins Regina and Renata are so identical that
even their mother can’t tell them apart. Then tragedy strikes: a
vicious attack leaves one twin dead and the other so traumatized that
she turns totally inward, incapable of telling anyone what happened or
even who she is. She remains lost to the world, until the day Mark, a
family friend, comes to visit–and the young woman utters her first
intelligible word.
As
she recovers, still with no memory of the past, her nightmares grow
steadily more frightful, followed by wild fits of hysteria and dark
mood swings. Her strange outbursts seem to coincide with the grisly
serial murders that have begun plaguing Seattle. Could she be the
killer? Determined to dispel his suspicion, Mark stakes out her home.
The unholy sight he witnesses one night will haunt his soul for the
rest of his life. . . .
