Rocket Jockey
From the moment Jerry Blaine blasted off from Earth to compete in the Armstrong Classics, famed throughout the Solar System, his space ship, the Last Hope was jinxed???
Marooned on Mars
Chuck Svenson was a citizen of the Moon -- and proud of it! To him, Earth, with its heavy atmosphere, even though it was the "mother" planet, was not the best place in the universe to live. As he rocketed home from a blast point high in the Andes, he anxiously looked forward to the reception he'd receive at Moon City. For he was the only citizen from Earth's satellite to be selected by the United Nations' interplanetary commission as a crew member for the first ship to attempt a flight from Moon to Mars...
Attack From Atlantis
Teen-aged Don Miller felt lucky to be one of the few aboard the atomic-powered submarine, the Triton, on its first official depth test run. Even when the ship began to falter and the diving planes jammed, neither he nor the rest of the crew realized they were fighting a losing battle against an unknown enemy. Quick repairs and a frantic attempt to surface brought renewed hope to the crew until they spotted strange-looking "bubble men" lashing through the water on creatures supposed to have been extinct millions of years before...
The Mysterious Planet
When a planet, moving faster than Earth, entered the Solar System out beyond Pluto, the reporters, for want of a better name, termed it "Planet X." "Planet X", that astronomical curiosity, became, in a few short weeks, an object of stark terror to the billions of men scattered on the planets around our Sun, from blazing Mercury to frigid Pluto.
To Bob Griffith's father, Commander of the Ninth Wing of the Solar Federation's Space Navy, fell the task of investigating the strange visitor...
Battle on Mercury
Step to the Stars

Only a decade away! Yes, according to the well-known author of Step To The Stars, this remarkable age that has produced rocket ships, guided missiles and hydrogen bombs will have a space station circling the Earth within the next ten years. World domination will be in the hands of the country that constructs it, and man will know, once and for all, whether he is free or slave.
Such thoughts were far from Jim Stanley's mind when he was investigated by the FBI and later subjected to strange and rigorous tests...
Preferred Risk
w/Frederik Pohl

Nerves
An explosive story of danger in a peacetime atomics plant.

Mission to the Moon
Jim Stanley, who had helped to build the first space station, was thrilled to return to it as a member of the crew selected to erect the ships which would fulfill man's age-long dream to reach the Moon. A total effort was being made to surpass the progress achieved in outer space by an enemy Combine. It was believed that if this foreign group scored the initial landing and gained control of the cold planet, the world would be threatened...
Police Your Planet
Bruce Gordon was an ex-fighter, ex-gambler, ex-cop, ex-reporter and now he was an ex-patriot of Earth. Security shipped him to Mars with a knife, 100 credits, and a yellow card that meant no return. He was also, he told himself, an ex-do-gooder. From then on he would take care of Number One! But in Marsport, nothing was that simple. Here the vices of Earth seemed tame and insipid. When he bought a commission in the Marsport police force, he found that graft was not only a fine art, but the official Martian way of life. So he joined the system. And then he met Sheila, who was out for blood—his!
Rockets to Nowhere
A story of mounting suspense and tangled intrigue as Danny's folks plan to desert earth's laboratories for an extra-terrestrial life.
Day of the Giants

Leif Svensen's neighbor, come to warn him that the farmers were going to take violent action against his dog for killing their livestock, mentioned that he'd seen an angel the night before. "Big blond woman on a white horse, singing loud enough to raise the dead, about a hundred feet up in the air." Then, on his way to find his madcap twin, Leif met the stranger who knew his name and who spoke of "the Fimbulwinter already upon us." Fimbulwinter! The dreadful winter that in Norse mythology preceded Ragnarok—the final war between the gods and the giants! Fimbulwinter—which presaged the Day of the Giants. Leif Svensen and his brother were caught up in the destinies of a real but alien world. For if the giants triumphed, they would overrun Earth; and if the Aesir—the gods—won, Earth would be their footstool.
Moon of Mutiny
Set in the early days of the moon's colonization, this is the exciting story of Fred Halpern's efforts to prove himself worthy of the title Spaceman. Fred, a first-rate but impetuous pilot, was washed out of Goddard Space Academy for disobeying orders. But he is lucky enough to get one more chance at a career in space when he is asked to join the third expedition to the moon...
The Eleventh Commandment
Earth was a teeming, desperate hellhole..overpopulated beyond the wildest nightmare and rife with starvation and disease. And still the people multiplied. They had no choice... Be fruitful and multiply, or be destroyed. That was the law of the land.
The Sky is Falling

Summoned from Earth by magic, Dave Hanson finds himself embroiled in the politics and engineering problems of an alternate Earth named Terah for Terah's sky has shattered, and he may be the one man in all the universe who can restore it! But science and sorcery, beautiful women, and fantastic monsters are just the beginning of his problems.
Badge of Infamy
The computer seemed to work as it should. The speed was within acceptable limits. He gave up trying to see the ground and was forced to trust the machinery designed for amateur pilots. The flare bloomed, and he yanked down on the little lever. It could have been worse. They hit the ground, bounced twice, and turned over. The ship was a mess when Feldman freed himself from the elastic straps of the seat. Chris had shrieked as they hit, but she was unbuckling herself now. He threw her her spacesuit and one of the emergency bottles of oxygen from the rack. "Hurry up with that. We've sprung a leak and the pressure's dropping."
Outpost of Jupiter

Then Paul finds out that he cannot take his robot, Rex, with him. Rex has been his constant companion for sixteen years. Leave him behind? Never!
Siege Perilous/The Man Without a Planet
Fred Hunter was the permanent resident of the space station... the doughnut... because a hideous accident had rendered him physically incapable of returning to Earth. For ten years he sweat it out, while others came and went on tours of duty only a few months long. For ten years he stayed sane, while space gnawed at the minds of others.
Then came the invaders, the strange beings who seemed to be not men, not beasts, not machines. Fred Hunter knew he must face them alone...and what could one crippled man do against their might?
The Scheme of Things
"Can a man really live - and die - more than once?"
Rocket From Infinity

And then comes an appalling discovery: he finds that if he cannot master these psi powers he will certainly go mad. And no one ever has mastered them. His desperate battle to find the secret of the power leads him to a source utterly alien—and awesome in its implications for Earth's fate.
Tunnel Through Time
"Has the experiment failed? Why hasn't doc Tom returned through the time tunnel? 'He's hours overdue,' says Bob grimly. 'Where is he?' 'Back 80 million years in time,' says Dr. Miller. 'Back in the age of the dinosaurs.' What has gone wrong? Is it too late to save Pete's father? There is only one way to find out. Pete and Bob must go through the time tunnel."
